MD Johnson, Inc. announces the completion of the sale of a portion of Town & Country dealerships in Milwaukie, Oregon outside of Portland. Brands sold include Chrysler, Jeep Fiat, Hyundai and Chevrolet dealerships on an automotive campus on McLoughlin Boulevard in suburban Portland. No sales price was disclosed. Ralph Martinez retained and operates Town & Country Honda in Gladstone, Oregon 2 miles south of the dealerships being sold. Martinez and his Town & Country brand have been a stalwart in the automobile industry in Portland for almost 30 years. Along the way, Martinez has owned Nissan, Toyota, Kia, Isuzu, Oldsmobile, Lincoln-Mercury, Ford, Mitsubishi, Dodge and Ram franchises in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver WA. Martinez, originally from New York, started in the automobile business with Chrysler after relocating from California to be the Chrysler Plymouth dealer on McLoughlin Blvd. in 1985. Along with other accomplishments, Town & Country dealerships were voted the number 1 large business to work for in Oregon in 2003. Martinez continues to operate Town & Country Honda along with his two sons Carlos and Christopher in Gladstone, Oregon.
